5 Ways to Save Time By Repurposing Your Content

the social media marketing stats your tourism business needs in 2023

If you’re like most business owners, time is of the essence. With so many things to do and new ideas popping up all the time, it can be difficult to stay on top of your marketing strategy and content marketing plan.

Let’s chat about 5 ways that you can save time by repurposing your old content.

Why Recycle Old Content?

Not only do you save time by repurposing content, but it is also a great way to build trust with your audience. When they see that you are continually creating new content for them, it’s more likely that people will continue to engage and share what you’re sharing on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

Recycling content is a great way to save time, repurpose it in a different format, and give people even more reasons to engage with your brand on various platforms.

1. Reuse Email Copy

Depending on how long you’ve been working on your content marketing strategy, you may have a ton of old email campaigns under your belt.

If you’re looking for blog post ideas or social post ideas, check out some of your old email campaigns for some content to recycle. You could even change up the design a bit and resend the email if you’re looking for ideas for an email blast.

Or vice versa, if you have an old (or even new) blog, vlog, or podcast that comes out, be sure to send that out to your email list as well. This brings us to our next point:

2. Pull Content From Blog Posts, Videos, or Podcasts

One of my favorite ways to repurpose content is by pulling out some great quotes or highlights from past blog posts, videos, or even podcasts and sharing them on social media. Take some of your best tips or nuggets of advice, make a nice post or email, and send that baby out there!

3. Feature A Testimonial or Review

If someone has given your business rave reviews on Yelp, Google, Facebook, etc., feature them in an email newsletter or in a social post! If they have great pictures of themselves using your product or service, use those too (with permission of course!)

People love knowing what other people think about the products and services they use, so give them another reason to read through their emails when you include this type of content in future communications and offers.

4. Feature A Guest Post

Do you have a blog post written by someone else that is super great? Feature it in your email newsletter or share it with your audience on social media. You can even tag the person who wrote the content and let them know that their content was featured! This will not only give another reason for people to read through their emails, but it will also show appreciation for the guest author.

5. Recycle Past Social Media Posts

If you haven’t been recycling your content, it’s time to start! If a particular idea was a hit on social media or with blog readers, change up the design and republish that post. You can even add some fresh new thoughts and ideas to the same topic over time just for good measure.

Reuse content and repurpose content

When trying to reuse content and repurpose content, look to your blog posts, old social posts, and email campaigns. Not only will this save you time, but it can also lead to better results in the long run!
